Fabpro continues to invest in best-in-class equipment to ensure the highest level of quality for our customers. A new Amada AE-2510NT punch press is our latest addition to the fleet.
Our previous punch presses were nearly 40 years old, and while they did get the job done, this new machine is nearly twice as fast and uses substantially less electricity and compressed air. It has a servo arm technology where the heat generated from breaking is re-harnessed into power the machine uses.
In fact this unique low energy usage capability is what made this machine qualify us for a 2024 CI&A Grant from the State of Maryland Energy Administration. So not only are we more productive, but we’re also being responsible to our environment, and leaving the world a better place than when we started.
We’d like to take a moment to personally thank Mr. Christopher Russell of the MEA, the program administrator for the CI&A Grant, who helped us understand some of the complexities of the grant and was available whenever we had questions. Fabpro’s success is tied to the huge benefit of being a manufacturer in the State of Maryland, where we have an administration that sees the huge value of manufacturing to the state’s economy and job base.
